Guest Rooms

Access: Opens with key.
All guest rooms are furnished with a large bed, wardrobe, commode, writing table, bookcase, and chest of drawers. Each room also contains a washroom furnished with a basin, pull-chain toilet, and bath. The water for the bath comes through a hand-pump and gas-heated tankless water heater, which can be adjusted to provide the correct temperature. There is no shower, no telephone, no mini-bar, and no electrical outlet. Lighting is provided by gaslamps.

Back Rooms

Audible in Bar: If window/door open, or shouting.
Guest rooms along the back of the building have windows and balconies looking out upon the bar and the back garden, including the machines and topiary. Conversation from the back rooms can sometimes be heard in the bar, and vice versa, if the balcony doors are open.

Interior Rooms

Audible in Bar: No, or only extraordinarily loud sounds.
Interior rooms have neither windows nor balconies, and allow no outside light sources, making them ideal for vampires and other creatures that fare poorly in natural light.

Front Rooms

Audible in Bar: No, or only extraordinarily loud sounds.
The rooms along the front of the building have windows and balconies looking out upon the turnabout, and past it, the snowy road and the woods, beyond.

Maintenance Closets

Access: Staff only. Protected by fatal wards.
Audible in Bar: No, or only extraordinarily loud sounds.
The maintenance closets contain the equipment necessary to maintain the inn, from plumbing and repair tools to cleaning supplies and gardening implements. Each closet also contains a pump and basin. The closet closest to B1 contains the medical safe, in which can be found a variety of painkillers, antiseptics, bandages, and supplies for minor surgeries, like removing splinters and ingrown toenails.
